The firm

The firm brings together advocates and associates who share both experience in demanding matters and the conviction that effective legal help takes more than a knowledge of the rules.
We conduct court and pre-trial proceedings and negotiations, and represent clients before public authorities, law-enforcement bodies and other institutions. We also handle matters of disciplinary liability and construction law, including proceedings before disciplinary committees and before the architectural-and-construction administration and building inspectorate.

Fees
We agree the fee and the basis of billing before we begin work.
Depending on the matter, we bill at a fixed fee, at an hourly rate or on a combined basis.
We discuss the fee arrangements at the first meeting. Where appropriate, payment by instalments can be agreed.
- Fixed fee
- An agreed amount for the instruction. This works well where the scope of work can be predicted.
- Hourly rate
- The fee is based on the hours worked and the agreed hourly rate.
- Mixed system
- Part of the work is billed at a fixed fee and part at an hourly rate.

Initial conversation
We go briefly through the matter, what is most important about it and any time limits that may bear on it. We also establish what information and documents will be needed to assess it further.
Meeting
The meeting can be at the office, at a place of your choosing or online. Its form and scope are adapted each time to the nature of the matter.
Agreeing the engagement
Once we have read into the matter we agree the scope of the legal assistance, how it is to be conducted and the basis of the fee. Work begins once the client has agreed and accepted those terms.
